Dynegy

Dynegy is an electric company based in Texas. They own multiple natural gas and coal fueled power stations in the U.S. They came to Capsule to update their brand. When creating the logo itself I wanted to create something optimistic, powerful and simple. After sketching and playing around I came up with the idea of a phoenix. I liked that the idea incorporated the two elements their power stations use in order to make electricity (fire + gas) and knew that it was something I wanted to incorporate into the design. I also liked the phoenix idea because it reminds me of a guardian with a birdseye view watching over the community it powers.
